The ACCUPRO ACC-BB120600G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this right-hand cut bar delivers tight tolerances and excellent surface finish in small-bore applications. A titanium nitride (TiN) finish coating reduces friction and extends cutting edge life. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.12 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.6 inches, this bar is sized for small-diameter work where rigidity and edge sharpness are critical. The 3/16-inch shank diameter and 2-inch overall length keep the setup compact and stable.
This boring bar is suited for production and job-shop environments where small internal diameters must be held to close tolerances. Typical applications include boring holes in aluminum, brass, mild steel, and other machinable materials on turning equipment with appropriate toolholding for a 3/16-inch shank. Designed for use in toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch shank boring bar on CNC lathes, manual engine lathes, and turret lathes capable of internal boring operations.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the bar from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is clamped securely with adequate contact length to minimize deflection at depth. Do not exceed the rated maximum bore depth of 0.6 inches, as overhang beyond the designed range increases vibration and risk of tool breakage.
