The ACCUPRO ACC-BB110500 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a submicron carbide grade for enhanced wear resistance and edge stability in tight-tolerance bore work. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.11 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.5 inches, this bar is suited for small-diameter, shallow bore applications. The bright finish coating reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. The 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1.5-inch overall length make it a compact tool for confined workholding setups. Machinists and toolroom operators working with small bores will find this bar well-matched to production and prototype turning work.
This boring bar is intended for use in small-bore internal turning applications where dimensional accuracy is critical. It is appropriate for machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials in both production and job-shop environments. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard lathe toolholder orientations. Its compact size makes it a practical choice for watch-making, medical component, and precision instrument machining, as well as any application requiring a minimum bore diameter near 0.11 inches at shallow depths up to 0.5 inches.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for lathes and boring setups that accept a 1/8-inch shank boring bar with right-hand cut orientation.
This boring bar is installed and serviced by machinists and toolroom technicians. Before mounting, ensure the lathe or machining center spindle is fully powered down and locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Secure the shank firmly in a compatible toolholder to the appropriate clamping torque specified by the toolholder manufacturer. Verify boring bar overhang does not exceed recommended ratios to minimize chatter and deflection during the cut.
