The ACCUPRO ACC-BB110400G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide stock, this bar delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance bores in hardened and abrasive workpiece materials. The cutting end carries a TiN (titanium nitride) finish coating that extends tool life by reducing heat buildup and friction at the cutting edge. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.11 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.4 inches, this tool targets small-diameter, shallow-bore applications where standard tooling cannot reach. Right-hand cutting direction follows standard lathe setup conventions.
This boring bar is suited for production and job-shop environments running small-bore work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard small-bore tool holders and quick-change turret systems. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps overhang minimal, reducing chatter and deflection at small diameters. Machinists and toolroom operators working on components such as small hydraulic fittings, valve bodies, or precision instrument parts will find this bar appropriate for finish and semi-finish boring passes.
Designed for use in small-bore tool holders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter on CNC and manual lathes or turning centers.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine in a full stop condition and the spindle locked. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the depth recommended by the holder manufacturer to prevent pull-out under cutting loads. A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom operator should verify bore alignment and runout before committing to a finish pass. Follow the machine builder and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material and bore diameter.
