The ACCUPRO ACC-BB100400A is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on lathes and turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a TiAlN finish coating, it delivers consistent cutting performance and extended tool life in demanding machining environments. The bar features a right-hand cutting direction, a minimum bore diameter of 0.1 inches, a maximum bore depth of 0.4 inches, a shank diameter of 0.125 inches, and an overall length of 1.5 inches. It is suited for machinists and toolroom technicians working on small-diameter bores in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This boring bar is intended for small-bore internal turning applications where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. Its compact shank diameter and short overall length make it appropriate for use in micro-boring and watchmaker-scale work, as well as general toolroom and production turning setups where minimum bore diameter is in the 0.1-inch range. The micrograin carbide substrate supports high cutting speeds and resists chipping at small depths of cut.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production tooling option for small-bore boring bar holders and collet-style tooling systems accepting a 0.125-inch round shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists on lathes or CNC turning centers. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is placed in a locked or e-stop state before changing or seating tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the toolholder to minimize overhang and reduce vibration during the cut. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications and applicable shop safety procedures.
