The ACCUPRO ACC-BB100300 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for small-diameter internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured from submicron-grade solid carbide with a bright finish, this bar delivers tight tolerances and long tool life in hardened and abrasive workpiece materials. It handles a minimum bore diameter of 0.1 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.3 inches. With a 1/8-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 1.5 inches, the ACC-BB100300 suits compact toolholders and Swiss-type setups where rigidity in a small form factor is critical. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional lathe rotation.
This boring bar is suited for precision small-bore finish and semi-finish turning in production and job-shop environments. Typical applications include bearing bores, hydraulic fittings, small valve bodies, and instrumentation components where bore diameter tolerances are tight and surface finish requirements are demanding. Machinists working with stainless steel, hardened steel, titanium, and other difficult alloys will benefit from the submicron carbide grade, which resists edge wear and micro-chipping at fine depths of cut.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or addition for toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch round shank boring bar in CNC turning centers, manual lathes, and Swiss-type screw machines requiring right-hand internal boring tools.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder setup and runout verification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before mounting or adjusting the bar. Shank overhang should be minimized to reduce deflection; follow the toolholder manufacturer recommended maximum stick-out for the 1/8-inch shank diameter. Verify bore diameter with a calibrated gauge before committing to a finish pass.
