The ACCUPRO ACC-BB080200G is a micrograin solid carbide boring bar designed for precision small-bore machining operations. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.0800 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.2000 inches (13/64 inches), this tool is built for tight-tolerance internal cutting in confined geometries. The 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1-1/2-inch overall length make it suited for use in CNC lathes, boring mills, and manual machines where compact tooling is required. Right-hand cutting direction means it feeds in the standard orientation for most setups. Machinists and toolroom technicians working with small-diameter bores rely on micrograin carbide for edge retention and dimensional consistency in production and repair work.
This boring bar is used in light to medium-duty internal turning and boring applications where small bore diameters demand rigid, high-precision tooling. It is appropriate for machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials in job shop, production, and maintenance environments. The compact shank size and short overall length make it a common choice for swiss-type machines, micro-machining setups, and small-part work where standard-sized boring bars cannot access the bore geometry.
Designed as a direct-fit boring bar for tool holders and collet chucks accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter, compatible with CNC and manual lathes, boring mills, and machining centers configured for small-bore internal turning operations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling setup procedures for the machine in use. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before changing or setting tooling. Secure the shank firmly in the tool holder to the minimum recommended overhang to reduce deflection and chatter in small-bore work. Verify bore diameter and depth clearances before initiating a cut to avoid tool or workpiece damage.
