The ACCUPRO ACC-BB050400 is a submicron solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built from submicron-grade carbide with a bright finish, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for tight-tolerance bores in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bar accepts a minimum bore diameter of 0.05 inches and reaches a maximum bore depth of 0.4 inches. With a 0.125-inch shank diameter and a compact 1.5-inch overall length, this tool is suited for small-bore finish work where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This boring bar is used in precision machining environments including job shops, tool rooms, and production facilities. Its right-hand cut geometry suits conventional lathe setups and CNC turning centers. The small minimum bore diameter makes it appropriate for micro-bore applications in small components such as bushings, valve bodies, and hydraulic fittings where surface finish and bore geometry are tightly controlled.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit boring bar for tool holders accepting a 0.125-inch round shank in CNC turning centers and manual lathes configured for right-hand cutting operations.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret or tool post is locked before seating or removing the bar. Verify shank clamping torque per the tool holder manufacturer specification and confirm tool stick-out does not exceed recommendations for the bore depth being cut. Follow applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide tooling.
