The ACCUPRO ACC-BB050300G is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide stock, this bar delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance bores in hardened and abrasive workpiece materials. A TiN (titanium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in production environments. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.05 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.3 inches, this bar is suited for small-diameter, shallow-bore applications where tool deflection and runout must be controlled. The 1/8-inch shank diameter keeps the bar compact and compatible with small-bore toolholders. Machinists and toolroom operators working on precision components rely on this type of bar for repeatable, accurate results.
This boring bar is intended for small-diameter internal turning operations, including finish boring, chamfering, and back-turning in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Its right-hand cutting direction suits standard lathe configurations. The short overall length of 1.5 inches and the 0.05-inch minimum bore make it particularly useful for micro-bore work on watch components, medical parts, instrumentation fittings, and similar close-tolerance applications. It is appropriate for both production machining and toolroom use where bore quality and dimensional accuracy are the primary requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style insert boring bar for use in CNC lathes and manual turning centers equipped with 1/8-inch shank toolholders accepting right-hand boring bars.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolsetting procedures for the host machine. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the bar from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamping screws are torqued according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify bar overhang does not exceed manufacturer guidelines to minimize deflection during the cut.
