The ACCUPRO A-6200140R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. Sized to wire gauge 54 (1.40 mm / 0.0551 inches decimal), it features a 140-degree standard point angle that reduces walking and minimizes burr formation on entry. The spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation. With a 50 mm overall length and a 3.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this bit fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks used in CNC machining centers, benchtop drill presses, and precision hand drilling operations. It is supplied bright and uncoated, making it suitable for a wide range of base materials.
This micro drill bit is used in precision machining and fabrication environments where small-diameter hole tolerances are critical. Typical applications include circuit board drilling, instrument component manufacturing, tooling fabrication, and any operation requiring consistent, repeatable micro-diameter holes. The miniature series designation indicates it is optimized for small-diameter, high-precision work. Right-hand cutting direction suits standard spindle rotation on virtually all production and benchtop drilling equipment. No coolant-through capability is required for most light-duty micro drilling setups where external coolant or air blast is sufficient.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature series micro drill bit compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chucks accepting a 3.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank on CNC and manual drilling equipment.
Micro drill bits in this size range are installed and operated by machinists, tool and die makers, and precision fabricators. Ensure the spindle and chuck are fully powered down and at a complete stop before inserting or removing the bit. Secure the shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck to prevent runout, which can cause premature breakage at small diameters. Use appropriate spindle speeds and feed rates for solid carbide micro tooling — consult tooling manufacturer guidelines for the specific workpiece material.
