The ACCUPRO A-6140190R is a solid carbide spotting drill designed to create accurate, centered starting points for follow-up drilling operations. Built with a 120-degree drill point angle and a 1.9mm cutting diameter, this tool delivers consistent cone geometry for drill walking prevention on flat, angled, or curved workpiece surfaces. The two-flute spiral configuration promotes chip evacuation during the spotting cycle. At 38mm overall length with a 2mm straight-cylindrical shank, it fits standard collet and chuck setups used in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses alike. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for a wide range of general-purpose metalworking applications.
This spotting drill is intended for general-purpose spotting and center-marking operations in production and job-shop environments. The 6.5mm flute length and compact 38mm OAL make it well-suited for close-clearance fixtures and tight spindle approaches. Right-hand cutting direction aligns with standard machine spindle rotation. Machinists, CNC operators, and toolroom technicians working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials will find this tool appropriate for typical spot-drilling cycles before twist or carbide drill deployment.
Designed as a general-purpose spotting drill for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar machine tool setups that accept a 2mm straight-cylindrical shank toolholder or collet.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with proper tool holding and speeds-and-feeds selection. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is placed in a safe, locked-out state before changing or setting tools in the holder. Verify shank seating depth and collet runout before initiating a cutting cycle. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material being machined.
