The ACCUPRO A-6120223R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight tolerances. It features a 120-degree point angle and a spiral flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation during operation. The bright, uncoated carbide construction provides a hard, wear-resistant cutting surface suited to a range of materials. With an overall length of 38 mm (approximately 1.5 inches) and a flute length of 12 mm (approximately 0.47 inches), this bit fits applications where a compact, accurate tool is required. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this type of micro drill for fine-detail work in metal, plastics, and composite materials.
This micro drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision benchtop drilling setups where small-diameter hole generation is required. The 2.23 mm (0.0878 inch) cutting diameter and 3 mm straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and drill chuck systems sized for miniature tooling. It is well suited to electronic component manufacturing, mold and die work, medical component machining, and other precision fabrication applications where repeatable hole quality at small diameters is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature drill bit for use in any precision drilling setup that accepts a 3 mm straight-cylindrical shank, including CNC machining centers and benchtop drill presses equipped with appropriate collet or chuck systems.
This bit should be installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the shank firmly in a properly sized collet or chuck to minimize runout, as excessive runout significantly increases breakage risk with micro-diameter carbide tools. Always set spindle speed and feed rate appropriate to the workpiece material and drill diameter before operation. Carbide is brittle — avoid side loading, aggressive feed rates, or interrupted cuts that can cause chipping or breakage.
