The ACCUPRO A-6120198R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for high-precision, small-diameter drilling in demanding machining applications. With a 5/64 inch (1.98 mm) diameter and a 120-degree point angle, this bit produces accurate hole entry and clean exit in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well-suited for applications where coating buildup or contamination is a concern. The straight-cylindrical shank provides reliable chuck retention in standard drill chucks and collet holders. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and precision fabricators working with CNC machines or manual drill presses will find this bit appropriate for tight-tolerance work.
This micro drill bit fits into the Miniature Series product line, intended for small-bore drilling where standard drill bit sizes are too large. Typical applications include printed circuit board work, instrument manufacturing, mold and die drilling, medical device component fabrication, and precision aerospace or electronics assembly. The right-hand cut spiral flute configuration assists in chip evacuation during through-hole and blind-hole drilling. The overall length of 38 mm (approximately 1.50 inches) keeps the tool compact for use in confined setups or close-tolerance fixtures.
Designed as a standard straight-shank micro drill bit compatible with collet holders and drill chucks sized to accept a 2.00 mm shank diameter, as used in CNC machining centers, manual drill presses, and precision drilling stations.
Installation of micro drill bits should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with small-diameter tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck or collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to prevent runout. Set spindle speed and feed rate according to the workpiece material and manufacturer tooling guidelines — solid carbide micro bits are brittle and will fracture under excessive feed force or lateral loading. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling.
