The ACCUPRO A-6120137R is a micro drill bit ground from solid carbide for precision small-hole drilling in tight-tolerance applications. The bit measures 1.37 mm (0.0539 inches) in diameter with a 120-degree drill point angle and a 30.00 mm overall length. The bright, uncoated finish means no coating thickness to account for when holding critical hole tolerances. Right-hand cutting with a regular spiral flute and a straight cylindrical shank makes it compatible with standard collet and chuck tooling. This bit is used by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators who require consistent, repeatable performance in miniature bore work.
This drill bit belongs to the Miniature series and is sized for applications where standard jobber drills are too large. Typical use cases include circuit board drilling, watch and instrument components, medical device parts, precision jig and fixture work, and any operation requiring a sub-2 mm hole diameter. The 6.70 mm flute length provides adequate chip evacuation for shallow-to-moderate depth holes in a range of materials including aluminum, brass, plastics, and mild steel. The straight cylindrical shank seats securely in collet chucks and precision drill chucks without runout-inducing adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature drill bit for use with precision collet systems and drill chucks that accept a 1.50 mm straight cylindrical shank, as commonly found on CNC machining centers, micro drill presses, and hand-held precision drilling stations.
Solid carbide micro drill bits are brittle at small diameters and require a rigid, low-runout spindle to prevent breakage. Secure the shank fully in a clean, correctly sized collet or precision chuck before beginning any operation. Follow the machine manufacturer and carbide tooling supplier recommendations for feed rate and spindle speed at this diameter, as excessive feed pressure is the leading cause of breakage in micro-diameter carbide bits. Inspect the cutting edge under magnification before use and replace at the first sign of chipping or dulling.
