The ACCUPRO A-6120110R is a miniature solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. Built from solid carbide, this bit delivers the rigidity and edge retention required when working at small diameters where tool deflection is a critical concern. It measures 1.1 mm in diameter with a 120-degree point angle, a spiral flute geometry, and a straight-cylindrical shank at 1.5 mm diameter. Overall length is 30 mm. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the surface true to carbide hardness without added coating thickness. Machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators are the primary installers of this tooling.
This drill bit is suited for precision machining operations where small-diameter holes are required in metals, composites, circuit boards, or similar materials. The miniature series designation makes it appropriate for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand-held equipment configured for micro tooling. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. A flute length of 5.4 mm supports chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth holes common in fine-detail work across electronics manufacturing, medical device fabrication, and general precision machining environments.
Designed as a miniature series replacement or stock micro drill bit compatible with collets, chucks, and toolholders accepting a 1.5 mm straight-cylindrical shank, as typically found on CNC machining centers and precision drill presses configured for micro tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with micro tooling practices. Ensure the spindle and machine are fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the straight shank fully and evenly in the collet or chuck to minimize runout, which is critical at sub-2 mm diameters. Avoid side-loading or flexing the bit during setup, as solid carbide is rigid but brittle under lateral stress.
