The ACCUPRO A-6120042R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. Built to the Miniature series standard, it features a 0.0165-inch diameter cutting edge and a 120-degree drill point angle, making it well suited for small-hole work in hard and abrasive materials. The bright/uncoated finish maintains dimensional accuracy straight from the factory. With a 25.00 mm overall length and a 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank, this bit fits standard micro drill chucks and collet holders used on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held precision drilling equipment. Machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators are the primary installers.
This micro drill bit is intended for use in precision machining environments where small-diameter holes are required in metals, composites, printed circuit boards, and similar materials. The spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation in shallow to moderate-depth holes. Its right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard spindle rotation. The miniature series designation indicates it is engineered for applications where standard-size tooling is too large and rigidity at small diameters is critical. Typical use cases include instrument manufacturing, electronics assembly tooling, and fine mechanical component production.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature drill bit for use in standard micro drill chucks and collet systems accepting a 1.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle and work-holding fixture are fully stopped and powered down before changing tooling. Verify the shank is fully seated and the collet or chuck is tightened to the tool-holder specification before initiating a cut. At this diameter, excessive feed rate or lateral force will cause bit breakage — follow the tooling manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for solid carbide micro drills in the target material.
