The ACCUPRO A-6100173R is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in miniature and tight-tolerance applications. With a 1.73 mm (0.0681 inches) cutting diameter and a 120-degree drill point angle, this bit delivers accurate hole entry and clean exit in hard and abrasive materials. The bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for applications where coating adhesion or contamination is a concern. Overall length is 38.00 mm with a 12.00 mm flute length, keeping the tool compact for confined drilling setups. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision fabricators working with CNC equipment or manual drill presses will find this bit appropriate for fine-detail work.
This micro drill bit is used in precision machining environments where small-diameter holes are required in metals, composites, or hard plastics. The miniature series designation and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet systems and small chuck setups common on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and benchtop equipment. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional clockwise-rotating spindles. A 2.00 mm shank diameter allows secure gripping in appropriately sized collets without runout-inducing slop, which is critical at this diameter scale.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, benchtop drill presses, and precision drilling fixtures equipped with collets or chucks accepting a 2.00 mm straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Ensure the spindle and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to prevent runout that can snap small-diameter carbide tools. Confirm spindle RPM is appropriate for the workpiece material and drill diameter before engaging the cut — carbide micro drills are brittle and will fracture under lateral load or excessive feed pressure. Do not use this bit in applications requiring coolant-through capability, as this series does not support through-tool coolant.
