The ACCUPRO A-6100127R is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in miniature and tight-tolerance applications. With a 1.27 mm (0.0500 inch) diameter and a 120-degree drill point angle, this bit delivers accurate, controlled entry in hard and abrasive materials. The bright/uncoated finish keeps tolerances tight and suits a range of workpiece materials. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1.50 mm in diameter, fitting standard collets and chucks designed for miniature tooling. Overall length is 30.00 mm, with a 10.00 mm flute length. Machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators working with small-diameter holes will find this bit a reliable choice for production and bench work alike.
This bit is suited for drilling operations requiring sub-1/16-inch hole diameters, including PCB fabrication, watch and instrument components, medical device manufacturing, mold and die work, and other precision machining applications. The spiral flute geometry with a regular spiral promotes efficient chip evacuation in small-diameter bores. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press, CNC, and hand-held rotary setups. Coolant-through is not available on this bit, so conventional flood or mist cooling should be applied externally when drilling heat-sensitive materials at high RPM.
Designed for use in standard miniature-series drill chucks and collets accepting a 1.50 mm straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision rotary tools configured for small-diameter solid carbide tooling.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with micro-drilling practices. Ensure the spindle and collet are clean and concentric before seating the shank to avoid runout at this diameter. Power down the machine completely before changing tooling. At sub-2 mm diameters, feed rate and RPM must be carefully matched to the workpiece material to prevent bit breakage — consult published cutting data for solid carbide micro drills in the specific material being machined.
