The ACCUPRO A-6100071R is a solid carbide micro drill bit in wire gauge size 70, equivalent to 0.0280 inches in decimal diameter. Designed for precision small-hole drilling, this bit features a 120-degree standard point angle and a spiral flute with a regular spiral type for efficient chip evacuation. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 1.50 mm in diameter, making it compatible with standard precision collet chucks and drill presses used in fine-tolerance work. At 30 mm overall length with a 5.60 mm flute length, this bit is built for shallow, accurate holes in tight workspaces. The bright, uncoated finish suits use in non-ferrous metals, plastics, and PCB materials where coating buildup is a concern.
This micro drill bit is suited for machinists, electronics technicians, toolmakers, and precision fabricators working on small-diameter hole applications. Typical use cases include printed circuit board drilling, instrument components, watch parts, medical device fabrication, and other miniature machining operations requiring tight positional and diameter tolerances. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC machines and manual drill presses. This bit belongs to the Miniature series and is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units per order.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit micro drill bit for use in precision collet chucks, CNC machining centers, and benchtop drill presses that accept straight-cylindrical shanks with a 1.50 mm shank diameter.
Micro drill bits of this size should be installed by a machinist or precision technician familiar with collet torque limits and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to prevent runout-induced breakage. At 0.0280 inches in diameter, this bit is highly susceptible to breakage from side loading, feed rate errors, or improper chuck seating. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so use an appropriate cutting fluid applied externally when drilling metals.
