The ACCUPRO 95170104 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. With a 7/16 inch diameter and a 0.060 inch corner radius, it produces a controlled edge break or blend radius on machined features while reducing stress concentrations at part corners. The four-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 38-degree variable index helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting at higher feed rates. An AlCrTiN coating provides heat and wear resistance suited to dry or minimal-lubricant machining environments. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in job shop and production settings.
This end mill is suited for slotting, peripheral milling, and profiling operations where a consistent corner radius is required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving programmers flexibility in toolpath strategies without a separate drill operation. The straight cylindrical shank at 7/16 inch diameter fits standard ER and set-screw style collet holders commonly used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. It is appropriate for use in aluminum, stainless steel, tool steel, and other materials where an AlCrTiN coating provides coating-to-material compatibility.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for standard 7/16 inch straight cylindrical collet holders and set-screw tool holders on vertical machining centers and CNC milling equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine powered down and in an e-stop or locked-out state before tool changes. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clean in the collet or holder before torquing to the holder manufacturer specification. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or chip load for the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for wear or chipping before each use to avoid surface finish defects or part damage.
