The ACCUPRO 95170098 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and machining applications. With a 7/16-inch cutting diameter and a 7/8-inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers accurate flat-bottom cuts, slots, and peripheral profiles. The 4-flute spiral configuration combined with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. An AlTiCrN coating provides elevated hardness and oxidation resistance, extending tool life in high-temperature cutting conditions. The micrograin carbide substrate adds wear resistance and edge integrity across ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers of this tooling.
This end mill is suited for general-purpose and high-performance milling on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and contouring in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. The variable index geometry reduces chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive material removal. The 7/16-inch straight shank fits standard ER and end mill holders across common spindle configurations. Series HS designation indicates this tool is positioned for high-speed cutting strategies where rigidity and coating performance are critical factors.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement end mill for use in standard CNC and manual milling setups requiring a 7/16-inch straight-shank, 4-flute solid carbide square end mill in the ACCUPRO Series HS lineup.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is placed in an e-stop or lockout-tagout state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the tool holder and torque retention screws or collet nuts to the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce surface finish quality.
