The ACCUPRO 95170087 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. With a 7/16-inch mill diameter and 7 flutes, this end mill delivers increased feed rates and superior surface finishes compared to lower-flute-count tools. The cutting edges are coated with AlTiCrN, a hard, heat-resistant coating that extends tool life in ferrous materials, hardened steels, and abrasive alloys. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance. This tool is suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals running modern CNC machining centers.
This end mill is intended for use in finish and semi-finish milling applications on ferrous metals, stainless steels, hardened tool steels, and similar materials where a high flute count provides chip thinning advantages. The 38-degree right-hand spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation during climb and conventional milling cuts. It is a single-end, non-centercutting tool, making it appropriate for peripheral and slotting passes rather than plunge operations. The HS series designation identifies it as part of a high-performance product line suited for aggressive metal removal strategies on rigid setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 7/16-inch shank diameter collet or tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Confirm the tool is non-centercutting before programming any plunge moves, and verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing a finishing operation.
