The ACCUPRO 95169782 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and hardened materials. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length. The micrograin solid carbide substrate is paired with an AlCrTiN coating that resists heat and oxidation during aggressive cuts. With 5 flutes, a 38-degree helix, and a variable index design, this end mill reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating CNC mills and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling operations where a controlled corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in milled pockets and slots. The 0.020 inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and produces a clean blend radius at the floor-wall intersection. The straight cylindrical shank with a 1/4 inch diameter fits standard ER and set-screw toolholders. Single-end configuration keeps the tool compact for tight-clearance setups. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general CNC profiling in steel, stainless steel, and similar materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Seat the shank fully into the collet or set-screw holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth per the toolholder manufacturer. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
