The ACCUPRO 95169779 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrTiN, this tool delivers superior heat resistance and wear life at elevated cutting speeds. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 0.060 inch corner radius, and 7 flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral configuration with a 38-degree helix angle. The overall length is 2 inches, with a 1/2 inch length of cut. Single-end, non-centercutting construction makes it suited to peripheral and finishing passes rather than plunge entry. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in CNC machining centers where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required.
This end mill is intended for use on hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult-to-machine materials where AlCrTiN coatings provide a thermal barrier at the cutting edge. The 7-flute, 38-degree helix geometry is optimized for finish milling operations where chip evacuation and surface quality are priorities. The 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER and precision collet chucks. It is a single-end tool, so all cutting life is concentrated at one tip. Typical applications include profiling, contouring, and finishing passes in die-mold work, aerospace components, and precision-machined hardware.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement end mill compatible with standard 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical collet chucks and toolholders used in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/4 inch shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Because this is a non-centercutting tool, program helical or ramp entry moves — never direct Z-axis plunge cuts.
