The ACCUPRO 95169080 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in demanding machining applications. With a 0.25-inch (6.35 mm) cutting diameter and four helical flutes, this single-end mill delivers clean, accurate cuts across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-degree variable helix geometry, combined with variable index flute spacing, reduces chatter and harmonic vibration during high-speed milling passes. An AlCrTiN coating adds heat resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in interrupted cuts and dry or semi-dry machining conditions. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and general metalworking will find this tool suited to finish and semi-finish milling operations where tight tolerances are required.
This end mill fits standard 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank toolholders, including ER collets and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. The 0.5-inch length of cut and 2-inch overall length make it well suited for shallow to moderate depth pocketing, slotting, and peripheral milling in workpieces where reach is not a primary constraint. The regular-length profile keeps the tool rigid under load, which is especially important when chasing tight tolerances in steel, stainless, or hardened alloys. This tool is centercutting, allowing it to plunge directly into material without pre-drilling.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank toolholders, including ER collet systems and end mill holders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills. Shank diameter tolerance is h6 for consistent, repeatable fit in precision toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading any cutting tool. Verify collet or holder cleanliness and proper seating torque per the toolholder manufacturer's specification before running. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
