The ACCUPRO 95168833 is a 5-flute solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. The cutting diameter measures 0.5000 inches with a 0.0300-inch corner radius, a length of cut (LOC) of 0.6250 inches, and an overall length of 4 inches. The 1/2-inch shank diameter provides rigid tool holding, while the AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating delivers elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonics and chatter, making this end mill well suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on ferrous and hardened materials.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual milling machines where a corner radius profile is required to reduce stress concentrations at part edges or meet drawing callouts. The extended reach configuration, with a reach length of 2.3750 inches and a reduced neck diameter of 0.4500 inches, allows access to deep pockets and stepped features without sacrificing tool rigidity. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace components, and precision mechanical parts machined from steel, stainless steel, titanium, and similar materials. Installation and operation are performed by machinists and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard cutting tool for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 1/2-inch straight shank. Suitable for use in standard ER, CAT, BT, and HSK toolholders with a 1/2-inch bore.
This end mill is installed and operated by qualified machinists or CNC programmers. Before changing tooling, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is placed in a safe state per shop safety procedures. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Consult the machine manufacturer and applicable shop standards for appropriate speeds, feeds, and coolant strategy for the workpiece material.
