The ACCUPRO 95168717 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and edge-breaking on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It features a 5/8-inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/4-inch length of cut, and a 45-degree chamfer angle with a 0.0150-inch chamfer width. The micrograin carbide substrate is coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) for improved hardness and heat resistance at elevated cutting speeds. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with a right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction. It is installed and operated by machinists in CNC milling and manual milling applications where chamfer geometry accuracy is critical.
This end mill is suited for production and job-shop environments requiring consistent chamfer results on steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials. The long-length designation and 5-inch overall length allow access in deeper setups or when extended reach is needed beyond what standard-length tools provide. The variable helix design helps reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during cutting, which improves surface finish and tool life in demanding applications. The 5/8-inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter for straightforward collet or end mill holder selection.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills using 5/8-inch collets or end mill holders with right-hand spindle rotation.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is properly torqued to the manufacturer-specified value for the holder type in use before initiating any cut. Verify collet or holder runout is within acceptable limits prior to cutting, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer-recommended depth-of-cut or feed-per-tooth parameters for the workpiece material being machined.
