The ACCUPRO 95168696 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temp alloys. It measures 0.5000 inches in diameter with a 1.2500-inch length of cut, a 3.0000-inch overall length, and a 0.0200-inch corner radius. The five-flute geometry and variable helix angle reduce chatter and improve chip evacuation at higher feed rates. An AlTiN coating extends tool life in dry and semi-dry cutting conditions by increasing surface hardness and heat resistance. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be used for plunge cuts and slot milling as well as peripheral profiling.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills performing finishing and semi-finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The right-hand spiral flute direction and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with standard spindle configurations. The 0.5000-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders. Typical applications include 3D profiling, pocket milling, and contour work where a radius corner is required to reduce stress concentration or meet part geometry tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-specification solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 0.5000-inch shank diameter toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank to the specified minimum engagement depth in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer's guidelines. Inspect the collet or chuck for runout before first use, as excessive runout accelerates flute wear and can cause premature tool failure. Never exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material being machined.
