The ACCUPRO 95168609 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 0.2188-inch cutting diameter, a 0.0150-inch corner radius, and a 4-flute geometry that balances material removal rate with surface finish quality. The AlTiN coating provides high-temperature resistance and extends tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless, and other difficult alloys. With a long-reach length of cut at 1.25 inches and a 3-inch overall length, this tool suits deep-pocket and cavity work. It is installed by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is suited for vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers handling ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a radiused corner is required to reduce stress concentrations in milled profiles. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional and climb milling. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional spindle-up setups. The variable helix construction helps reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during long-reach cuts, making it effective in finishing and semi-finishing passes on mold cavities, die work, and aerospace components.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 1/4-inch collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and ER collet systems on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/4-inch shank fully into a properly sized, clean collet or tool holder and torque to the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly for finish-pass applications where surface quality is critical.
