The ACCUPRO 95168601 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and hardened materials. It features a 1/4-inch diameter with a 0.0300-inch corner radius, six flutes for increased chip load capacity, and an AlTiN coating that improves heat resistance and tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The 3/4-inch length of cut and 2-1/2-inch overall length make it suitable for standard-depth profiling and slotting operations. It is a single-end, centercutting design with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction, allowing direct plunge entry into workpiece material. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers and users of this tooling.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where close-tolerance profiling, contouring, and corner-radius feature generation are required. The micrograin carbide substrate and 25-degree helix angle support smooth cutting action in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar hard materials. The spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during full-depth passes. It is commonly used in job shops, production machining environments, and tool rooms where tight dimensional tolerances and fine surface finishes are priorities.
Designed for use in standard 1/4-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and compatible milling machines accepting 1/4-inch shank tooling.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine in a fully stopped and locked-out state per applicable machine safety procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the specified holding depth in the toolholder before operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator after setup, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the substrate and coating combination.
