The ACCUPRO 95168548 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), this tool delivers extended tool life in high-heat cutting environments. It features a 45-degree chamfer angle, a 0.0150-inch chamfer width, and a variable helix design that reduces chatter and harmonics during the cut. The 4-flute, right-hand cutting configuration with a spiral flute geometry is suited for machinists and CNC operators running finishing passes where edge quality and dimensional accuracy are critical.
This end mill is sized for stub-length applications requiring a compact reach. The 7/16-inch cutting diameter and 9/16-inch length of cut make it well suited for chamfering drilled hole edges, deburring part features, and producing consistent 45-degree chamfers on machined components. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry where the operation requires it. Typical use cases include CNC machining centers and manual mills working with steel, stainless steel, titanium, and hardened materials where the AlTiN coating provides the thermal resistance needed to maintain edge integrity.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 7/16-inch straight shank end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully powered down and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Secure the 7/16-inch shank in a collet chuck or end mill holder rated for the intended RPM and feed load. Verify runout at the shank before running production cuts. AlTiN-coated carbide tooling should be run dry or with air blast on ferrous materials; avoid water-based coolants that can cause thermal shock to the carbide substrate.
