The ACCUPRO 95168486 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 3/8-inch diameter with a 0.0200-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in demanding applications. With four right-hand spiral flutes and an AlTiN coating, this end mill handles elevated cutting temperatures and abrasive workpiece materials effectively. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and versatile toolpath strategies. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and tool-and-die environments will recognize this as a general-purpose but high-performance carbide end mill suitable for finishing and semi-finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard alloys where a corner radius profile is specified to reduce edge chipping or meet part geometry requirements. The extended reach configuration, with a 2.125-inch reach length and 0.5-inch length of cut, makes it practical for deeper pockets and stepped features where shank-to-wall clearance is a concern. It installs in standard 3/8-inch collets, end mill holders, or shrink-fit tooling on vertical or horizontal CNC machining centers.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers requiring a corner radius end mill profile.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool-change interlock is engaged before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully within the holder to the minimum engagement depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout will accelerate flute wear and degrade surface finish.
