The ACCUPRO 95168457 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 1/4-inch cutting diameter with a 0.0600-inch corner radius that blends radial and end cutting edges, reducing stress concentrations and improving surface finish on workpiece corners. The 4-flute configuration with a variable helix and right-hand spiral flute geometry balances chip evacuation with rigidity. An AlTiN coating provides thermal and wear resistance for high-speed cutting in ferrous and hardened materials. This tool is sold as a single-end, centercutting end mill with a stub-length flute, suited for machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC mills or manual milling machines.
This end mill is appropriate for light-to-medium roughing and finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard alloys where corner radius geometry is required to maintain edge integrity. Its stub-length flute design prioritizes rigidity over reach, making it well suited for short-reach pockets, slots, and profiling operations. The 1/4-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found in vertical machining centers and CNC routers. Machinists working in job shops, aerospace component manufacturing, and mold-and-die applications will find this geometry useful for controlled finishing passes at the bottom of cavities and along vertical walls.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 1/4-inch shank end mill holders and ER collet chucks on CNC vertical machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a 4-flute corner radius end mill with a 1/4-inch cutting diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/4-inch shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the tool-holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tools.
