The ACCUPRO 95168404 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it handles high-heat cutting environments where tool life is a priority. The mill measures 0.5 inches in diameter with a 0.0300-inch corner radius, a 1.25-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length. Six flutes and a 25-degree helix angle combine to produce a smooth, efficient cut at higher feed rates. The single-end, centercutting design allows for plunge entry. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical and horizontal machining centers for finish and semi-finish milling passes.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous metals, stainless steel, titanium, and other hard materials commonly encountered in precision machining, tool-and-die, aerospace component work, and general metalworking shops. The centercutting geometry supports slot milling, ramping, and pocket operations. The 1/2-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock tool holders. The regular-length configuration makes it a practical choice for most standard-depth milling applications where extended reach is not required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for use in standard 1/2-inch tool holders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills requiring a corner radius end mill configuration.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC operators. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/2-inch shank fully into the tool holder and torque the retention mechanism to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to avoid premature edge wear.
