The ACCUPRO 95168373 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It measures 7/16 inches (0.4375 inches) in diameter with a 1 inch length of cut and a 2-3/4 inch overall length. The four-flute, right-hand spiral design with a variable helix promotes chip evacuation and reduces chatter during high-speed cutting passes. The AlTiN coating adds surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tight tolerances and maintains edge integrity under heavy feed loads. This end mill is center-cutting and configured as a single-end tool.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, profiling, and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar alloys. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration, making it a reliable choice for long-reach passes or thin-wall part work. It is typically used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians requiring consistent dimensional accuracy. The regular length classification keeps the tool rigid for standard-depth applications where reach is not a limiting factor.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 7/16 inch shank toolholders including ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the toolholder manufacturer's minimum grip length recommendation. Do not exceed the tool's rated cutting diameter or depth-of-cut parameters as established by your feeds-and-speeds calculation for the workpiece material.
