The ACCUPRO 95168358 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0150 inch corner radius, and four flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a variable helix geometry. The AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. At 2-1/2 inches overall length with a 5/8 inch length of cut, this is a stub-length tool built for rigidity. It is a single-end, centercutting design, meaning it can plunge as well as profile. Machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, profiling, slotting, and contour work where a small corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations and improve surface finish at part edges. The stub length configuration minimizes deflection, making it a reliable choice for harder workpiece materials where tool rigidity directly affects dimensional accuracy. The 1/2 inch shank diameter matches standard ER and side-lock collet systems commonly found in vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines. It is appropriate for both production and job-shop environments.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for any machining setup accepting a 1/2 inch shank end mill. Compatible with ER32, ER40, and equivalent collet systems as well as side-lock tool holders with a 1/2 inch bore.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Clean the shank and collet bore before seating to prevent runout. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for recommended runout tolerances and tool-holding torque specifications when securing the collet nut.
