The ACCUPRO 95168270 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. This single-end, centercutting tool features a 0.0100 inch corner radius that produces a controlled edge break and reduces stress concentrations at workpiece corners. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, it handles high-temperature cutting conditions and extends tool life compared to uncoated carbide. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration provides efficient chip evacuation and a stable cut. It is sized for use in standard 1/4 inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling operations on ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steel, and cast iron where corner edge integrity is critical. The 3/4 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth peripheral and slot milling. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic chatter, which improves surface finish quality in tight-tolerance applications. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities use this tool for profiling, contouring, and pocket milling where a sharp but radiused corner is specified on the part print.
Designed for use in 1/4 inch collets, end mill holders, or hydraulic chucks on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Fits any standard 1/4 inch shank tool holding system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Insert the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or tool holder and torque the retention hardware per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on carbide end mills.
