The ACCUPRO 931-08125 is a solid carbide internal helical flute thread mill designed for cutting M8x1.25 metric coarse threads in a single helical pass. Manufactured from micrograin carbide and finished with a TiAlN coating, this tool delivers hardness and heat resistance suited to ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. It runs a 3-flute, right-hand flute direction configuration with a cutting diameter of 0.235 inches and a length of cut of 0.625 inches. The 0.315-inch minimum nominal bore diameter and 6.00 mm shank make this tool compatible with standard collet and end mill holders. Coolant-through capability is not available on this model.
This thread mill is used in CNC machining centers for interpolating internal M8x1.25 threads in production and job-shop environments. It is suited for applications where a tap would be at risk of breakage - blind holes, hard materials, or close-tolerance threading - as the helical interpolation path allows easy size adjustment at the controller. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing will find this tool appropriate for both roughing and finishing internal threads in a single tool pass.
Designed for CNC machining centers using helical interpolation cycles to produce M8x1.25 metric coarse internal threads. Minimum nominal bore diameter of 0.315 inches must be observed. Fits standard 6.00 mm collet or end mill toolholders.
Installation and operation of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians familiar with helical thread milling cycles. Secure the shank in a balanced, properly torqued collet or end mill holder before spindle engagement. Verify CNC program thread interpolation parameters, including pitch and helical lead, match the M8x1.25 specification before cutting. Do not use in manual machines or attempt to drive with a drill press or hand tool.
