The ACCUPRO 930-75010 is a helical flute thread mill designed for cutting internal 3/4-10 UNC threads in a machining center or CNC milling application. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiAlN, it delivers the hardness and heat resistance required for threading steel, stainless, cast iron, and other ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool features 4 flutes, a 0.495 inch cutting diameter, and a 1.25 inch length of cut, making it suitable for through-hole and blind-hole thread milling where a standard tap cannot be used or where thread quality demands are high. Machinists and CNC programmers in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This thread mill is used in CNC machining centers for generating internal 3/4-10 UNC threads via helical interpolation. The helical flute geometry promotes chip evacuation during the threading pass, reducing the risk of chip packing in the cut zone. The TiAlN coating extends tool life in higher-temperature cutting environments. The 0.5 inch shank diameter provides rigid clamping in standard ER or hydraulic toolholders. Coolant-through is not supported, so flood or mist cooling at the spindle exterior is the appropriate method.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation for generating internal 3/4-10 UNC threads. Compatible with standard 0.5 inch bore toolholders including ER collet chucks and hydraulic holders.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Confirm spindle runout and toolholder concentricity before use, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on a solid carbide tool. Program the helical interpolation pass to the correct thread pitch of 10 TPI and verify the tool path with a dry run before cutting. Coolant-through is not available on this tool, so apply adequate flood or mist cooling to manage heat at the cutting zone.
