The ACCUPRO 784956 is an ER25 series collet sized at 0.375 inches (3/8 inch) for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and compatible toolholding systems. ER collets provide a secure, concentric grip on cutting tools and workholding shanks, transmitting rotational force with minimal runout. This collet measures 1.9 inches in height with a 1.2-inch width and length, and weighs approximately 0.1 pounds. It is a single-piece unit sold individually. Machinists and CNC operators install ER collets as standard toolholding components across a wide range of production and job-shop environments.
ER25 collets are widely used in light to medium-duty machining applications where a compact, standardized collet chuck system is required. The 0.375-inch bore size accommodates tooling with a 3/8-inch shank diameter, including end mills, drills, reamers, and taps. This collet is suited for both manual and CNC-controlled spindles equipped with ER25-compatible chucks found in vertical machining centers, lathes with live tooling, and router spindles.
Designed for use with ER25-series collet chucks and toolholding systems that accept standard ER25 collets with a 3/8-inch shank bore.
ER collets are installed by a machinist or CNC technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing collets. Insert the collet into the ER25 chuck nut before threading onto the chuck body to avoid damaging the collet retaining groove. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the chuck manufacturer's specified tightening procedure to secure the nut. Inspect the collet seating surfaces for chips or wear before each use.
