The ACCUPRO 778858 is a CAT to Jacobs Taper adapter designed to connect CAT40 tooling shanks to Jacobs Taper 2 (JT2) chuck interfaces. It provides a rigid, concentric connection between a CAT40 spindle and a JT2 drill chuck, making it a practical tooling solution for machining centers and CNC mills equipped with CAT40 spindles. The adapter has a 1.61-inch projection and a 1.181-inch hole diameter. Coolant-through capability is not supported. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this adapter when adding a JT2 drill chuck to a CAT40 machine spindle.
