The ACCUPRO 77712495 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It measures 9/32 inch (0.2812 inch decimal) in diameter with a 140-degree split-point tip geometry and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat applications. The overall length is 96 mm with a 44.60 mm flute length, and the bit features a straight-cylindrical shank with an 8 mm shank diameter. A web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust force and improves chip evacuation. Machinists and toolroom technicians working in metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, and MRO environments rely on this bit for consistent, accurate holes in hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and similar materials.
This bit is suited for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools equipped with compatible chucks. It is rated for a maximum drilling depth of 1.406 inches and carries a 5xD flute-by-diameter ratio, making it appropriate for general-purpose jobber-length drilling tasks where tight tolerances and longer tool life are priorities. The AlTiN coating performs well in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions, which is common in production environments where coolant use is limited. Coolant-through capability is also supported, allowing this bit to be used in applications where internal coolant delivery is available.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide jobber drill bit suitable for CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting straight-cylindrical shank tooling with an 8 mm shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel with the machine powered down and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the chuck or collet is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain runout tolerances. Do not exceed the machine spindle speed and feed rate parameters recommended for the workpiece material and bit diameter. Inspect the cutting edge and coating condition before each use; a chipped or worn edge should be replaced before resuming production drilling.
