The ACCUPRO 77712222 is a jobber-length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling applications in demanding trade and machining environments. Manufactured from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this bit delivers excellent heat resistance and extended tool life at high cutting speeds. It features a 140-degree split point for accurate positioning and reduced thrust, a web-thinned tapered web for improved chip evacuation, and a two-flute regular spiral design. With an overall length of 5.197 inches and a 27/64-inch (0.4219 inch) diameter, it suits a wide range of precision drilling operations. Installed by machinists, tool-and-die workers, and industrial maintenance technicians.
This bit is suited for drilling ferrous metals, stainless steels, cast iron, and other hard materials where solid carbide tooling outperforms high-speed steel. The AlTiN coating adds oxidation resistance and allows dry or minimal-lubrication cutting in high-heat applications. The straight-cylindrical shank with a diameter of 12 millimeters seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. With a maximum drilling depth of 2.110 inches and a flute length of 67 millimeters, it handles through-hole and blind-hole work at production volumes. Coolant-through capability supports chip clearing in deep-hole operations.
Designed as a jobber-length solid carbide drill bit compatible with standard drill chucks and collet tool holders accepting a straight-cylindrical shank.
This bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machine tools by qualified machinists and maintenance technicians. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a matched collet or chuck before operation and verify runout before drilling. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as solid carbide is brittle and susceptible to fracture under side-load or impact conditions. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate appropriate to the workpiece material.
