The ACCUPRO 75562900 is a DCGT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual turning operations. It features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape with a 7-degree relief angle and a 0.0079 inch (0.20 mm) corner radius, making it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. The insert carries a PVD coating and is ground to Grade ACM15S, which delivers high to moderate wear resistance with added toughness. It holds a neutral hand orientation and is secured via screw-on holding method. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops and production environments install this insert.
This insert is intended for turning stainless steel (ISO material group M) and special or super alloys (ISO material group S), where wear resistance and edge stability are critical. The LMF+ chip breaker geometry promotes efficient chip control during light to medium-depth finishing cuts, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.0531 inch (1.35 mm). It fits toolholders designed for DCGT-style inserts with a screw-clamping system and is appropriate for applications demanding close dimensional tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for screw-clamp DCGT toolholders conforming to ANSI insert code DCGT32.505. Compatible with ISO material groups M (stainless steel) and S (special and super alloys).
Installation and indexing of turning inserts should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine powered down and the spindle locked. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key for the clamping screw and follow the toolholder manufacturer's torque guidance for the screw size. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Never exceed the maximum depth of cut specification for this insert grade, as doing so risks premature edge failure or insert fracture.
