The ACCUPRO 75562892 is a CCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a CVD coating applied over a carbide substrate and an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape, which provides a strong cutting edge with a 7-degree relief angle. The corner radius measures 0.40 mm (0.0157 inches), making it suitable for finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances and controlled surface finish are required. Two cutting edges per insert extend usable life. The chip breaker designation is WM+, engineered to manage chip flow across a range of cutting conditions.
This insert is rated for use on steel (P), stainless steel (M), and special and super alloys (S). The grade ACP35M with CVD coating covers a performance range from high wear resistance to moderate toughness, making it applicable across general turning, interrupted cuts on stainless, and challenging super alloy components. Typical applications include shaft turning, facing, and contour work in production machining environments. Maximum depth of cut is 3.00 mm (0.1181 inches). The neutral hand designation means it can be seated in both right- and left-hand toolholders that accept CCMT geometry.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement turning insert for toolholders accepting CCMT21.51 (ANSI) or CCMT060204 (ISO) insert geometry with screw clamping. Verify holder pocket dimensions and clamping screw size before installation.
Installation of turning inserts is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing inserts. Use the manufacturer-specified torque driver for the clamping screw to avoid insert cracking or pocket damage; do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the toolholder pocket for chips or wear before seating a new insert.
