The ACCUPRO 75554683 is a CCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries the ANSI code CCMT21.52 and ISO code CCMT060208, features a PVD coating under manufacturer grade ACM25P, and is ground with a neutral hand orientation. The 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape and positive side clearance geometry suit finishing to semi-finishing cuts. A corner radius of 0.80 mm (0.0315 inches) supports consistent surface finish across a range of ferrous and exotic workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC setup techs are the primary installers of this tooling.
This insert is suited for turning steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloys, corresponding to ISO workpiece material codes P, M, and S. The WM+ chip breaker geometry is optimized for high wear-resistance through high toughness applications on steel and provides moderate wear-resistance and toughness performance on stainless steel and super alloys. Maximum depth of cut is 3.00 mm (0.1181 inches). The insert seats via screw clamping (Clearance Code C, Tolerance Code M) in compatible CCMT insert pockets.
Designed as a direct replacement for CCMT21.52 (ISO: CCMT060208) insert pockets using screw-clamp toolholders accepting a 0.25-inch inscribed circle, 0.0937-inch thick carbide turning insert with a neutral hand orientation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the program is placed in feed-hold or e-stop before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench or insert screw driver specified by the toolholder manufacturer when tightening the clamping screw to avoid cracking the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris and clean the seating surface before seating a new insert.
