The ACCUPRO 75552570 is a CCMT-style indexable carbide turning insert designed for precision metal turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured in the ACM25P grade with a PVD coating, this insert delivers high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloys. The diamond (rhombic) 80-degree insert shape with a 7-degree relief angle and positive side clearance promotes clean chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during finish and semi-finish turning. Each insert provides two usable cutting edges, extending tool life per unit cost. It is secured in the toolholder via screw clamping and carries the WM+ chip breaker geometry.
This insert is suited for production and job-shop turning applications in both residential shop environments and commercial machine shops. The CCMT432 geometry fits a wide range of standard CCMT screw-on toolholders used in finish to medium turning of steel (P), stainless steel (M), and special or super alloy (S) workpiece materials. The 0.80 mm corner radius supports consistent surface finish on contoured and straight turned features. It is commonly installed by machinists and CNC operators on both light-duty and production turning setups where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical requirements.
Designed as a standard CCMT432 screw-clamp turning insert compatible with toolholders conforming to ANSI insert code CCMT432 and ISO insert code CCMT120408. Suitable for P (steel), M (stainless steel), and S (special and super alloy) workpiece material classifications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine powered down and fully stopped before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to secure the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's recommended seating torque. Inspect the insert seat and clamping screw for debris or wear before seating a new insert. Follow the toolholder manufacturer's instructions and applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide inserts, as edges are sharp.
