The ACCUPRO 75550293 is a CCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal-removal operations on CNC and manual lathes. Coated with a PVD finish and manufactured to grade ACM25P, this insert delivers high wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The diamond (rhombic) 80-degree insert shape and 0.40 mm corner radius make it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight tolerances and surface quality are critical. The neutral hand orientation and positive side clearance support clean chip evacuation. The insert uses a screw holding method and is compatible with standard CCMT toolholders.
This insert is intended for use in turning applications involving steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloys. The grade ACM25P targets steel (P-class) applications requiring high wear resistance to high toughness, stainless steel (M-class) applications requiring high to moderate wear resistance, and S-class special and super alloy applications requiring moderate wear resistance and toughness. Typical install scenarios include production turning on CNC lathes in industrial machine shops, toolrooms, and manufacturing environments. Installation is performed by qualified machinists and CNC programmers.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for CCMT21.51 (ANSI) and CCMT060204 (ISO) insert seats. Compatible with standard CCMT-style screw-clamp toolholders accepting a 0.25-inch inscribed circle insert with a 0.1102-inch hole diameter.
Installation is performed by machinists using the appropriate Torx or hex key driver specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat and secure the screw clamp. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the new insert. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid edge chipping prior to use.
