The ACCUPRO 75542837 is a CCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Manufactured to ANSI code CCMT32.51 and ISO code CCMT09T304, this insert features a diamond (rhombic) 80-degree included angle with a 7-degree relief angle and a 0.40 mm (0.0157 inch) corner radius. The PVD coating is applied over a carbide substrate in grade ACM25P, delivering a balance of wear resistance and toughness suited to steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloy workpieces. It is installed via screw clamping and carries a neutral hand designation, making it compatible with standard CCMT toolholders. Machinists and CNC operators are the primary end users.
This insert is suited for finish and semi-finish turning of steel (P-class), stainless steel (M-class), and special or super alloys (S-class). The WSF+ chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation at the moderate-to-light depths of cut typical in these material groups. Maximum depth of cut is 2.25 mm (0.0886 inch). The small corner radius of 0.40 mm makes it well suited for finishing passes where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are the priority. It is applicable in both production shop and job shop environments running CNC turning centers or manual lathes.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for CCMT32.51 (ANSI) or CCMT09T304 (ISO) toolholders using screw-clamp insert retention. Verify inscribed circle (0.3752 inch, 9.53 mm), insert thickness (0.1563 inch, 3.97 mm), and hole diameter (0.1752 inch) against toolholder pocket specifications before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully into the toolholder pocket and torque the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification using a calibrated torque driver. Inspect the pocket seating surface for chips or debris before installing a fresh cutting edge, as contamination will affect insert seating and cutting performance.
