The ACCUPRO 75542639 is a DCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations. Conforming to ANSI insert code DCMT21.50.5 and ISO insert code DCMT070202, this insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a 7-degree relief angle and a corner radius of 0.0079 inches (0.20 mm). The ACM25P grade substrate carries a PVD coating and a WSF+ chip breaker geometry, making it suitable for steel, stainless steel, and special or super alloy workpiece materials. Machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert into compatible DCMT toolholders for finishing and semi-finishing cuts in demanding production environments.
This insert is intended for use on CNC lathes and turning centers where tight tolerances and surface finish consistency are required. It is well suited for external turning of steel (P), stainless steel (M), and special or super alloys (S) across both high-speed finishing and moderate roughing scenarios. The neutral hand orientation allows use in standard DCMT screw-clamp toolholders. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.0709 inches (1.80 mm) and an inscribed circle of 0.2500 inches (6.35 mm), it is appropriate for light to moderate material removal on precision components in job shop and production machining settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for DCMT screw-clamp style external turning toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO DCMT seating standards. Suitable for machining steel (P), stainless steel (M), and special or super alloy (S) workpiece materials as classified by ISO material group codes.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine before indexing or replacing the insert. Secure the insert using the manufacturer-specified clamping screw and appropriate torx or hex key; do not overtighten. Verify seating in the toolholder pocket before resuming cutting operations, and confirm tool offset data in the machine controller after each insert change.
