The ACCUPRO 75536615 is a DCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Conforming to ANSI code DCMT21.50.5 and ISO code DCMT070202, this insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive side clearance and a 7-degree relief angle. The corner radius measures 0.20 mm (0.0079 inches), making it well suited to finishing and light profiling passes where tight tolerances and fine surface finish are required. The CVD coating and ACP25M manufacturer grade deliver a balance of wear resistance and toughness across a broad range of workpiece materials. Installed by machinists and toolroom technicians, this insert mounts via screw-holding method into compatible DCMT toolholders.
This insert is appropriate for turning steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpieces in both production and job-shop environments. The ACP25M grade with WSF+ chip breaker geometry is engineered to handle steel applications demanding high wear resistance, stainless steel applications requiring a combination of wear resistance and toughness, and cast iron applications where controlled chip formation is critical. It is equally applicable in light finishing cuts and moderate material removal scenarios on CNC turning centers and manual engine lathes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for DCMT-style screw-clamp turning toolholders accepting a 0.25-inch inscribed circle, 55-degree diamond insert geometry per ANSI and ISO standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine powered off and the spindle locked. Seat the insert fully into the toolholder pocket and secure with the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque before resuming operation. Inspect the cutting edge and insert pocket for chips or debris before each edge change. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine guarding requirements during insert indexing.
